Black Chrome
State of the art black finish for steel surfaces. It is a true black plating, not a paint. As a result, it is extremely hard and will not scratch. Black Chrome will not rust as do other surface treatments. It is exceptionally durable and does not flake or peel. Black Chrome offers deep, rich, black corrosion protection.
Airweight Aluminum
Weighing approximately 45% less than comparable steel batons, the ASP Airweight loses only 2% of the striking potential of its heavier counterpart. The striking surface of the Airweight is 4140 steel tubing. In addition to being noticeably lighter, ASP Airweights move more rapidly than steel batons. They allow a faster “bridge” between strikes.
Chrome
Delivers a high lustre finish for increased visibility under low light conditions.
Electroless
Electroless Batons are well suited to maritime and other high humidity environments. The nature of the finish simplifies maintenance. Electroless Batons give the “quietly attractive” appearance of stainless steel. The matte finish has an enhanced psychological advantage at night. They are the most maintenance-free batons of all ASP models. The finish of the baton can be maintained through use of a Scotch Brite® pad.
